We are Lollipop advisors working in Hertfordshire. We have both used cloth nappies on our children and we are dedicated to giving good advice to parents about the best washable nappies for their babies.

About Isla
My name is Isla Hopkins and I live in St Albans, Hertfordshire. I have two children aged six and three. I used disposable nappies on my first son and cloth nappies on my second. I do not recall being aware of cloth nappies when my first son was born so didn’t know there was a viable alternative to disposable nappies. When my second son was born the disposable nappies he wore in the first couple of weeks leaked so badly I decided to look for an alternative. I purchased some cloth nappies and then a few more! I was absolutely delighted with them: easy to use and no leaks.

I joined Lollipop in 2005 as an advisor as it seemed like the best way to tell other mums about how great cloth nappies are. I also felt that if I could use them, as a former disposables user, then anyone could!

About Sarah
My name is Sarah Withers and I live in Redbourn, Hertfordshire. I have one daughter aged two. I started doing some research into the alternatives to disposable nappies while I was pregnant, mainly for cost and environmental reasons. I was not planning to return to work so knew money would be an issue, and I didn’t want to contribute disposable nappies to landfill. There were no local advisors available to assist me when I was choosing which nappies to buy, so I made my choices based on advice from experienced cloth nappy users on a popular web forum. I was very happy with my choices and although I used disposables for the first couple of weeks, after this my daughter started wearing cloth nappies full time and we have never looked back. We had none of the distressing leaks other people using disposables experienced!

I joined Lollipop in October 2006 as I wanted to pass on some of the tips I had learned from using cloth nappies, and also to let other parents know about the money saving benefits of washables instead of disposables.
